Hike to the Rock
Hike to the Rock for great fun, exercise and some spectacular views.
The Rock is the peak seen behind Anaheim Hills Elementary School. You can either walk from The Loop or park in the school's parking lot and hike from there. Either way, this is a great, somewhat easy hike that can be fun for all.

Play a round of Golf or hit balls at the range
Anaheim Hills Golf Course is a public course that's walking-close to the Loop. It offers a very fun and somewhat challenging course, and also has a great range to hit balls.
It's also a great place to walk to and enjoy breakfast or lunch.

Play at a park
Scott's favorite local park is Serrano Park. Serrano park is walking or bike-ride close, has a nice large open grass area, basketball courts and a sand volleyball court. It's a great place to ride bikes, throw a football or frisbee or play basketball or volleyball.
From The Loop - head up Nohl Ranch, right on Serrano and then right on Apache Creek - you'll see it up on the right side.

Visit the Nature Center
Oak Canyon Nature Center is a 58-acre natural park within walking distance of The Loop. Consisting of three adjoining canyons, four miles of hiking trails traverse one of the few remaining areas of oak woodland and coastal sage scrub in our region. Native wildlife makes the canyon their home and is just waiting to be discovered. Also located on site is the John J. Collier Interpretive Center, a small museum with live animal and regional natural history exhibits.
The Nature Center is ideal for those who are just stepping into the wilderness for the first time or for those more experienced trekkers who are seeking a short hike.
